Your Tai Chi and Meditation instructor is Barbara Sapienza, a disciple of Chen Style Taiji 19th century master, Master Zhang XueXin. Barbara will teach the Silk-Reeling exercises, also called Spiral Power, that are unique to Chen Style Taiji.

Silk-Reeling is designed to develop spiraling power and to open the major joints, they combine the internal flow of intrinsic energy (Qi) and the external motion of rotation.  The practice consists of about 30 movements each repeated nine times. She will alternate Spiral Power practice with Huan Yuan Qigong - a set of 24 movements to cleanse, develop and co-ordinate Qi energy.
