1. Reservations and Deposit
Please complete and forward the Trip Application Form accompanied with USD$800 non-refundable deposit to Wellness Escapes. Due to the high demand of hotel rooms and limited supply, we are required to place a non-refundable deposit to secure the accommodations and the chartered boat.
Wellness Escapes reserves the right to correct any errors in rates quoted or calculated, or any omissions made at any time during your booking. A tour and/or hotel booking cannot be guaranteed until receipt of deposit. By sending the deposit the traveler agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
2. Pricing
The pricing of the program is based on 12 travelers and includes accommodations (double occupancy), ground transportation, in-country flights and transfers, chartered cruise from Mandalay to Bagan, meals as specified on the itinerary, English-speaking guide, Tai Chi and meditation instructions, sightseeing and activities.
3. Single Supplement
Accommodations are based on double occupancy. A single supplement is paid by participants who specifically request a single room (subject to availability). If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodation, we will try to match you with a roommate. Due to the limited cabins on the chartered boat, a single supplement may not be available.
4. Balance Of Payment
The final balance of the travel arrangements is due no later than January 15, 2015. If it is not paid on time, we reserve the right to cancel your travel arrangements and retain your deposit.
5. Amendment & Cancellation Policy
(a) Amendment by Traveler
Wellness Escapes will make every effort to assist you if you wish to alter your arrangements, but it may not always be possible. Requests for an amendment must be in writing. If it is possible to make the amendment, you may be subject to an amendment charge of $25 per booking, together with expenses incurred by Wellness Escapes, depending on the type of amendment. Scheduled airlines normally regard name changes as a cancellation and rebooking, and any alteration may incur up to 100% cancellation charge in respect of the airfare.
(b) Amendment by Travel Agency
Great care is taken to ensure that the description and prices given in the tour program are accurate. However, changes can occur, and Wellness Escapes reserves the right to change any of the details in the program, including prices, in which case Wellness Escapes will advise you of any such change before accepting your booking. We plan arrangements a long time in advance of your program using independent suppliers such as airlines, hotels, local transport operators and guides, over whom we have no direct control. In very rare circumstances, Wellness Escapes may have to modify the program before you depart. Most of these changes are minor. However, if we consider them a material change we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable. A material change includes a change of flight time by more than 12 hours, a change of international airport (except between airports serving the same city), a lower standard accommodation, and/or price.
(c) Cancellation by Traveler
Any change or cancellation shall be made in writing to Wellness Escapes and will be subject to the following cancellation charges from the date the written cancellation was received.

A refund will not be issued for no-shows or any unused portion of the tour program. No refunds are available once the trip commences. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS, including weather or other factors beyond our control. We reserve the right to cancel any tour prior to departure for any reason, in which case a full refund will be processed.
6. Traveler Responsibility
(a) Visa/ Special Permits
Passports must be valid for at least six months prior to the trip commencement, as some countries will not allow entry if your passport expire sooner. A tourist visa is required to enter Myanmar. You are responsible for obtaining the appropriate visa for your trip.
(b) Insurance
It is strongly advised to purchase a travel insurance policy. Travel suppliers, airline carriers, or travel agencies do not compensate any of your unforeseen expenses in the event of cancellation or failure to make your trip, lost baggage, loss of health and or/ accidents. In the case that the traveler/ client does not want to purchase insurance, he/she assumes sole financial liability for all direct and indirect consequences of events occurring before or during the trip. Purchased services from the travel agency do not contain insurance at any time as part of the service or the price, if it is not clearly stated that such insurance is included in the price. The traveler does not have the right to demand compensation from the travel agency for their unforeseen expenses if the travel agency is not the direct and immediate cause and reason for these expenses. This is also valid if the travel agency did not separately offer to the traveler/ client the possibility to buy insurance for other services bought and did not clarify the possible consequences of not having insurance.
(c) Flights
You are responsible for checking-in for your international flights at the correct time and for presenting yourself to take up all pre-booked components of your holiday. The Travel Agency cannot accept responsibility for clients missing flights as a result of late check-ins and no credit or refunds will be given if you fail to take up any component of your holiday. No credit or refunds will be given for lost, mislaid or destroyed travel documents.
7. Travel Agency Responsibility
Wellness Escapes is acting as a travel agent for suppliers in selling travel-related accepting services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by Travel Agency (such as air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, etc.). Travel Agency, therefore, shall not be responsible for breach of agreement, failure to comply with any laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any intentional or negligent actions or omissions on the part of such suppliers, which result in any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or injury to travelers or travelers’ companions or group members. Unless the term “guaranteed” is specifically stated in writing on your tickets, invoice, or reservation itinerary, Travel Agency does not guarantee any of such supplier’s rates, bookings, reservations, connections, scheduling, or handling of baggage or other personal effects. Travelers have done due diligence, are aware of the quality of the hotel accommodations chosen, and agree that Travel Agency will not be responsible if they are not satisfied. If you are dissatisfied with the purchased service or if the services do not coincide with the travel documents you have received, you must first consult directly with the local service representative immediately. Usually, in such cases the situation is solved in favor of the traveler. If you do not receive a response to your complaint or if it is refused to provide the required service you should, contact the travel agency immediately. Unfortunately, the travel agency is not able to process and forward vocal complaints after your return. Written complaints should include the original receipts directly substantiating the expenses for which one wishes compensation from or via the travel agency. Compensation claims which are not directly applicable to the documented travel arrangement (inconvenience, incomplete mission, mental or physical stress, lost time, etc.) cannot be considered for compensation by the travel agency or any firm other than the respective insurer.
8. Privacy
All information provided in a booking will be kept in a confidential manner and will not be disclosed or sold to other companies for any purpose beyond what is needed to secure your travel arrangements with our suppliers. Credit card information will be destroyed or deleted from files, but mailing information and past travel information will be retained by us. Any photos that you send, or that are taken by our guides with your permission, are deemed to be our property and available for use in promotions we make without any compensation to you for their use.
